KOLT Engineering Welcomes Vice President of Quality Management
KOLT Engineering is pleased to announce the joining of a highly respected senior professional, Yilmaz Unal, to our team, bringing over 31 years of experience at ASELSAN, Turkey’s leading defense electronics company.
He holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Hacettepe University, an MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bilkent University, and an MBA from Gazi University. His strong technical foundation is complemented by extensive leadership and management expertise.
During his career at ASELSAN, he served 12 years in managerial roles, leading critical functions including:
- Design Quality Assurance
- Test, Calibration, and Certification
- Procurement and Production Quality Management
He played a pioneering role in establishing and accrediting ASELSAN’s first ISO/IEC 17025–accredited laboratories, including:
- MGEO Metrology Laboratory
- MGEO EMI/EMC Test Laboratory
In addition, he served for 8 years as an auditor within the Defense Industry Agency (SSB) Industrial Competency Assessment and Support Program, contributing directly to the strengthening of Turkey’s defense industrial ecosystem.
His expertise spans quality management, quality control, EMI/EMC testing, calibration, accreditation, and auditing, reinforcing KOLT Engineering’s commitment to the highest defense and international quality standards.
With this strategic addition, KOLT Engineering further strengthens its capability to deliver reliable, compliant, and mission-critical power solutions for the Turkish defense industry and its partners.
